Run the 2011 ODDyssey Half Marathon
Welcome to the online home of the ODDyssey Half Marathon - a race brought to you by runners for runners.
They say necessity is the mother of invention and it is certainly the mother of the ODDyssey. We have been running in Philadelphia for years, and our training team has pushed scores of Philadelphians to conquer the Broad Street Run. Without exception, our teamates and friends have always asked one question upon crossing the finish line. .
When can I run a half marathon?
Well Philadelphia, here it is. Perfectly timed to transition you from the 10 mile Broad Street Run into your first or four hundreth half marathon, the ODDyssey is the race you have been clamoring for.
The ODDyssey is a serious race. It is USTAF certified, is wholly run on closed roads and should include some of the best runners in the area. Think you can win? There will be cash prizes for the winners. Plus, we will be utilizing the Jaguar Chip Timing System, the latest proven technology in race timing, an awesome original course and professional photography.
But, the ODDyssey also remembers that running is fun. Though a serious race, this half marathon is coupled with optional twists throughout the course for runners who want to have more fun, including costume contests and unique obstacles to make it a race you will never forget.
The course takes in the beauty of Fairmount Park, beginning on the Memorial Hall Green and winding around the tranquil Belmont Plateau before touring the stunning Schuylkill River along West River Drive. Runners will finish back at Memorial Hall for a post race bash. This race is sure to become a favorite staple in the Philadelphia running community.
