The What and When for ODDyssey Half Marathon Runners
Date and Time
The 3rd annual ODDyssey Half Marathon will be on May 26, 2012.
The race starts promptly at 7:00 a.m.
Where is the Start/Finish of the race?
The ODDyssey both starts and finishes in front of Memorial Hall, in the Belmont Plateau section of Fairmount Park.

Where do I Park on Race Day?
Ample parking is available on the street and in all lots between Belmont Avenue and the Mann Center for the Performing Arts in Fairmount Park. Parking is free to all runners all day!
The Mann Center is less than a mile away from the starting line and is easily accessible. Please see the link below for walking directions to the starting line:
Race Photos
The ODDyssey Half Marathon is proud to partner with ASI Photography as the official race photographers of the 2012 race. ASI will photograph all athletes and make these photos available on the web a few days after the event. So what do you need to do? 1. Be sure to have your race bib/number visible at all times! 2. SMILE when you cross the finish line! 3. Visit www.asiphoto.com to view & order your photos! Best of luck and we’ll see you at the finish line!
Where Will the Water Stops be Located?
Water stops will be located at the following mile markers for your hydrating pleasure.
Mile Markers - 2, 3.5, 5.2, 6.2, 7.5, 8.5, 9.5, 10.2, 11.2 and 12.2
Sports Drink will be available at two water stops along the course, at miles 8.5 and 11.2.
Awards
All finishers will receive an official ODDyssey Half Marathon pint glass AND a finishers medal!
Use your pint glass to toast your victory! And, when you see our medal, you will have an excuse to drag it out over and over again.
In addition to the finishers prize we will be passing out awards in the following categories:
- Age Group awards
- Best costume
- Prizes for the Top 5 men and women from Philadelphia donated by Philadelphia Runner!
Look for other creative prizes at the post-race bash!
Cash awards are given to the top three men and women overall!

Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each of the following categories:

11 to 19
20 to 29
30 to 39
40 to 49
50 to 59
60+
What Do We Do After the Race?
Stay for the post-race bash, of course!
We will have some great entertainment and fun activities available to runners of all ages after the race. Stick around, mingle with other runners and celebrate your victory!
Award ceremonies will begin at approximately 9:30AM. Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers overall, top male and female in each age group and top three costume contest winners.
Sly Fox Brewing Company is hosting a free beer garden for all adult finishers! The beer garden will open promptly at 8:00am. All runners over the age of 21 will receive a free pint of the beer at the post-race bash! Finish the race, collect your medal AND official pint glass and head on over to the beer garden to toast your success. Prost!
Phila Massages will also be present after the race to help you relax and tend to those sore muscles. They will be offering all runners a free 5-10 minute massage following the race. Massages are free but tips are greatly appreciated for our hard working masseuses.
Wait? More Fun Stuff?
Be sure to stop by the starting line tent before the race begins to have your photo taken and enter our costume contest. The top three winners will be given a fancy trophy and gloating glory for an entire year!
CHALLENGES– Challenges will be revealed on race day! As a reminder, all obstacles are OPTIONAL and will not interfere with runners who do not wish to participate. Obstacles will be placed near water stops and are meant to add a fun element into the race. Don your best costume and come have some fun!
