FAQ's

Will there be any registration on race day?

No, registration will close the day prior to the race at 6:00PM.

I am registered but incurred an injury.  Can my registration be transferred or defered to next year?

No. Unfortunately, the logistics of race preparation does not permit the ODDyssey to allow deferments, transfers or refunds.

Can I use headphones or earbuds?

We ask that runners refrain from using headphones during the race.  This is for safety of everyone on the course.  The ODDyssey will be run on closed  roads to ensure safety but  runners  will need to be able to hear announcments from course marshals, volunteers and other runners.  Live music will be provided along the course.

Is there a course time limit?

Yes, you must finish the 13.1 mile course in 3 hours and 20 minutes or less.  To finish a half marathon in 3 hours and 20 minutes you must keep a 15 minute per mile pace.  Walkers are welcomed and encouraged!

What if my information listed in the pre-registration list is incorrect?

Please e-mail carrie@oddysseyhalfmarathon.com with your name and correct information and we will do our best to correct it before Packet Pick-Up.

If I am progressing in the race slower than 18:00 minutes per mile, will I be removed from the race course?

The ODDyssey course is spectacular because it ventures through three of the most beautiful and popular areas of Fairmount Park.  In order to close roads, ensure the safety of the participants, and inconvenience other residents as little as possible, we must have a course time limit. Similar to other races across the country with time limits, you will be given a one mile cushion to recover and get back to the cut off or better. If you cannot recover, a race vehicle will pick you up and bring you to the finish line.

Will registration close?

Lot's of people have ben asking us this after watching the Broad Street Run sell out.  The ODDyssey is capped at only 5,000 runners this year.  So, if you wait, you may miss your chance.

Do I have to wear a costume to run?

No, but we think you're more fun if you do!!
