The ODDyssey is proud to feature some great local musicians along the race course this year. Check them out!
We welcome Liimu, ODDyssey runner and talented singer, in signing the National Anthem at the 2013 race!
The daughter of an opera singer and a classical pianist, Liimu began singing as a young girl. She sings from the heart of the many trials she experienced growing up, including overcoming drug addiction and homelessness. As a mother and wife, her music spans multiple generations and has a worldwide appeal. Her appearance as a lead soloist with Patti Labelle on NBC’s Clash of the Choirs has been viewed by millions of people around the world and was rated the number one show of the season, putting her on the map as the voice of inspiration. (Check it out at YouTube, search keyword “liimu.”)
Believe in Yourself is the debut album from LIIMU and the first MAAD Music production. Glen and Liimu McGill are a husband/wife songwriting/production team who combine their shared experiences and talents to create new music in a variety of genres. To preview and purchase your copy, click here
Established in 1985, The Flower Power Band has been performing in the Tri-State area for over two decades. Playing an extensive selection of big hits and lesser-known gems from the 60s and 70s, the band has always been an entertaining act. Since their origin the band has stayed true to performing the music of this genre, drawing crowds of all ages that both grew up on the music, and those just discovering the music that influenced popular artists of today.
The Flower Power Band has performed over 1,000 shows at over 200 different venues in five states. Some of our memorable performances include a Sunshine Foundation Benefit, Muscular Dystrophy Team Challenge, the Yachtstock Benefit for kids with cancer, and the Philadelphia Spectrum for a pre-game and halftime show for the Arena Football League Champion Philadelphia Soul, as well as several 9/11 benefits.

Mike and Rob Beck play the greatest selection of acoustic and electric rock & roll. An upbeat, fun show with excellent vocals and killer lead guitars. Covering songs from Pharrell Williams to Johnny Cash, Jason Mraz to ZZ Top, Motown to Blues town.... and the best songs of today. These Beck boys bring the party and jam!
Philly native Todd Zamostien is the heart, hands, soul and guts behind Bastards of Earle — Rock ‘n’ Roll, Americana, Folk and Alt-Country in the sweet and crumbling tradition of The Replacements, Ryan Adams, Gram Parsons and its namesake, Steve Earle. Zamostien’s songs take inspiration from the city around him - Philadelphia. Its beating, broken hearts; its tender and often crooked smiles; and the constant flirtations leading him onto the other side of the tracks, to the edges of town and beyond. His songs seek to capture the honesty in a moment, whether it be found, lost or pushed aside. It’s the sound you get when you bleed all over your Telecaster or when you willingly trash your vocal chords in one last violent scream. It’s the sound of youth, it’s the sound of aging and the sound of nothing left to lose.
